Welcome to Memobox (“Memobox,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

Memobox helps you capture voice memos, notes, tasks, ideas, reminders, schedules, shared work, and conversations with JEETU. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.

This policy is written for users in the United States and other regions, including rights that may apply under privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, the GDPR, and the UK GDPR.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to run an AI task companion, help you remember context, and deliver reliable reminders.

a. Account and Profile Information

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Profile photo
  • Authentication provider information, such as Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In
  • Account identifiers, preferences, app settings, and account creation date

b. Voice, Memo, Task, and JEETU Content

We may collect content you create, record, type, upload, or ask JEETU to process, including:

  • Voice recordings, audio clips, and speech-to-text transcripts
  • Typed notes, tasks, reminders, subtasks, lists, ideas, emotional notes, and chat messages
  • AI-generated summaries, plans, classifications, memory signals, suggestions, follow-up questions, and assistant responses
  • Task metadata such as due dates, start times, priorities, status, completion history, recurring rules, and scheduling context

c. Sharing and Collaboration Information

If you use shared tasks, groups, or collaboration features, we may collect:

  • Contacts or invited users you choose to share with
  • Group members, shared task details, group chat messages, assignment status, and completion updates
  • Activity data needed to notify you or another user when a task is shared, updated, completed, overdue, or discussed

d. Google User Data and Calendar Integrations

If you connect your Google account, Memobox may request access to Google Calendar data to provide productivity and scheduling features.

Depending on the features you use, Memobox may access:

  • Google Calendar events
  • Calendar metadata necessary to create, update, or manage events
  • Calendar permission status and scheduling context used by JEETU to plan your day and avoid conflicts

Memobox only accesses Google user data necessary for user-requested functionality.

We do not access Gmail data or Google Drive files unless explicitly introduced as a future feature and separately authorized by the user.

e. Device, Notifications, and Usage Information

We may automatically collect:

  • Device type, operating system, browser type, app version, language, timezone, and approximate region
  • Push notification tokens, notification delivery status, and notification preferences
  • App usage analytics, feature interactions, crash reports, diagnostic information, and support logs
  • IP address and security-related data used to protect accounts and prevent abuse

f. Purchases and Subscriptions

If you subscribe to Memobox Pro, we may collect:

  • Subscription product, purchase status, renewal or cancellation status, platform, transaction identifiers, and entitlement state
  • Receipt or purchase validation data from Apple App Store, Google Play, or another payment provider

We do not receive or store your full card number or raw payment credentials. Payments are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, or other payment providers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide voice capture, transcription, task creation, reminders, planning, focus guidance, daily briefs, reviews, and JEETU conversations
  • Understand your intent and organize memos into tasks, ideas, lists, emotional notes, or other useful categories
  • Remember useful context you ask the app to keep so JEETU can give more relevant guidance
  • Share tasks or updates with people and groups you choose, and notify the right users about changes or completions
  • Send push notifications such as shared task alerts, morning briefs, pre-task reminders, overdue updates, and end-of-day reviews
  • Sync tasks, reminders, and calendar events
  • Process subscriptions, activate Pro features, restore purchases, prevent abuse, and provide support
  • Debug crashes, improve performance, prevent duplicate tasks or notifications, protect accounts, and secure the service
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your private memo content for third-party advertising.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy

Memobox’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data is used solely to provide or improve user-facing features requested by the user.

Memobox does not:

  • Sell Google user data
  • Use Google user data for advertising purposes
  • Share Google user data with unauthorized third parties
  • Use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine learning models

Google Calendar data is accessed only to support scheduling, task planning, reminders, and calendar synchronization features initiated by the user.

Users may revoke Google account access at any time through their Google Account security settings.

4. AI Processing and Memory

JEETU uses AI to understand intent, summarize memos, create or update tasks, suggest plans, answer questions, and remember useful context.

To provide these services, audio, transcripts, notes, task details, chat history, and relevant memory context may be processed by trusted AI or transcription providers. These providers process data on our behalf to provide requested functionality and are not permitted to use user data for independent model training.

We do not use private user content to train public AI models unless explicitly disclosed and consented to by the user.

You should not use Memobox as a medical, legal, financial, emergency, or mental-health crisis service. JEETU can support planning and reflection, but it is not a licensed professional or emergency responder.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve Memobox, or when you choose to share information with another user.

  • Cloud database, authentication, and storage providers: Store account data, memos, tasks, groups, notification state, and app settings.
  • AI and transcription providers: Process audio, transcripts, notes, task context, and chat prompts to provide transcription, classification, planning, memory, and assistant responses.
  • Push notification providers: Deliver device notifications for reminders, shared tasks, daily planning, and review updates.
  • App stores and payment processors: Process purchases and subscriptions, validate receipts, and manage billing status.
  • Analytics, diagnostics, and infrastructure providers: Help us measure reliability, investigate bugs, prevent abuse, and operate the app.

If you share a task, reminder, message, or group update with another user, that user may see the content you shared, related task status, and updates such as completion or missed-task alerts.

6. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, secure authentication systems, access controls, monitoring for unauthorized access, and encrypted storage where applicable.

We keep account and content data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal information from active systems, subject to limited backup, legal, security, and transaction-record needs.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access or request a copy of personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate account or profile information
  • Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to limited legal, security, backup, or transaction-record retention needs
  • Opt out of marketing communications where applicable
  • Control app permissions such as microphone, notifications, contacts, and calendar access from your device settings
  • Disconnect third-party integrations such as Google Calendar
  • Request information about the categories of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and retain

California residents may have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Children’s Privacy

Memobox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at hello@memobox.ai and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States, India, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from your country. We use appropriate safeguards where required.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Memobox evolves. If changes are material, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide notice through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method.
